Gidget's Week

Tues. March 3rd 2009 was Gidget's appointment to be spayed. We also had her implanted with a microchip. she also got her rabies shot. She spent the day at the hospital. When she came home she was awake and alert. we were told to make sure she didn't chew or lick her stitches. I didn't want her jumping off the bed, so we made her a bed on the floor in the bedroom, she has a bed in the living room already. Well she had the stance like she wanted to jump on the bed. So I put her up there. Later that night before I could get to her she flew off the bed. didn't seem to hurt her at all. Anyway she wanted to start playing 2 days later, I played gently with her. By the 5th day you wouldn't know she had stitches or had surgery.
Well, Sat. we took her to the Woof store to get her a new harness, she outgrew her other one. how do you outgrow something when you only weigh 4.6 pnds? well she only weighed 2.5 when we got her. Anyway got the harness. We went across the road to the Grocery Outlet. While Dan was getting my scooter out or probably when I got out she got out without us knowing it. We were in the store a few minutes and we heard on the P.A.. We have a little chihuahua that was found running loose in the parking lot. Dan said I thought I heard her barking when we went in the store. But, he thought no it couldn't be her. Little stinker she had quite the week.
